Question of the Day: What do you think of Schrodingers Cat? If you dont know what it is: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schr%C3%B6dingers_cat Basically, this theory can be applied to almost anything. It observes that one cannot know an outcome unless they see/measure for themselves, so the outcome or state of what must be measured will simultaneously be ALL possible outcomes until it is determined to be one outcome. The fundamental example used is the imaginary scenario of a cat in a steel box/cage with a vial of poison, a hammer attached to a box, and the box that contains a radioactive substance. If a single particle of the radioactive substance breaks down, it will cause the hammer to break the vial and release the poison, thus killing the cat. However, since it may decay any second or not for years, one may never know at a specific point in time whether the cat is dead or not. Thus, the cat is both alive and dead because you simply do not know if it is one or the other. A similar scenario may be, If a tree falls in the middle of a forest with no one around to hear it, does it make a sound?. You could answer: It makes a sound and doesnt at the same time.
