Question: the County Assembly members want a salary of more than 79,500 gross plus sitting fees (3,000 x 8 sittings per week x 4 weeks)? This is a gross of KShs 175,500 and net of app: KShs 122,850 - is that not good enough for them? If not, I propose that they step down and voters in the respective counties put in a petition to appoint a different team, if that is at all possible. I do not think we can be held at ransom and continue overpaying our staff - this trend has got to stop.
