Question: when you go to a naturopathic MD because you know you have MTHFR (I am compound Hetero a1298c & c677t), I know most dont have insurance for the visits. But, when they do labs and things such as that, will they bill insurance? My autistic 3 year old is homo a1298c. He gets a glutathione iv weekly, glutathione transdermal cream, methyl-b 12 injections every 3rd day and strong probiotics. He sees a wonderful MAPs dr who is also a pedi so we are so blessed in that we dont have to pay $70-140 a visit. I know I need to be on a similar protocol. Methyl-b12, glutathione and possibly methyl-folate. I also need all my SNPs checked. I could and will probably do the genetic testing I can do on my own for $99, but a naturopath is really all I can think of to go to for help. We cant afford multiple pricey visits plus paying for all the bloodwork for homocysteine and everything else that will need to be done OOP. I was wondering if anyone could offer me some insight and help me find where to start.
