Question: why do people say its not right to say this prayer ? (Hail Mary) this came to mind last night in bed, to hail is to yell out to some one , thee blessed mother is with our Lord in heaven, blessed amoungest women is right she gave birth to Jesus, so blessed was the fruit.. so by saying this prayer i dont think your praising our blessed mother your asking her to pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death so can someone please tell me what is the difference in saying this prayer and asking the blessed mother to pray for us verses asking your family and friends to pray for us ? i dont see a difference , its a prayer request like all others, only this one goes to the mother of Christ. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amoung women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen
