Questions about a good size camp dutch oven for Boy Scouts. I am in scouts as a leader and we are looking at getting some camp dutch ovens--Lodge seems to be the consensus. Which would be the best size to get? Usually our campouts have about 7-10 kids and 2-3 leaders. Not too big of a group. I was looking at these 3 for main dishes: Lodge 12 6 Qt or the 8 qt or the 14 10 Qt? Which do you think would be better and why? Ill probably want to get a 10 one for deserts and small things. Would the 5 QT be best? I know theres a 4 qt as well in the 10. Any info that could be provided would be great. Trying to get the right stuff for a troop that is just starting out and has very little money at this point. I want to get stuff that would last as well thats why cast iron is top of the list! Thanks for your help and expertise.
