Questions to candidate engineers with political hats: 1. I checked the statute of Nepal Engineers Association but nowhere can I find political qualifiers, panels etc. Borrowing these qualifiers in the mainstream election keeps you above the NEA statute. Is it your intention to become dictator? 2. Also checked with the notice from the Election Committee including final list of candidaes, and there too no such political terms are seen. Wearing political hat, you seem to breach election code of conduct. Can you get written approval from the election committee to register political panels? 3. Putting political agenda and qualifiers at your topmost agenda with bold large fonts and political emblems, you seem to derrogate the dignity and sanctity of the NEA as a professional association. Nowhere in the world, engineers divide themselves on political ideology / party affiliations. Why do you choose politics against professionalism? 4. I believe there is Code of Ethics for NEA engineers, though not available in NEA website. Does that CoE permit you to plead openly for party politics? 5. While handfuls of your members (less than 2000 with political hats, lokantratic, progressive, republic etc.) are exercizing politics in NEA, you are convicting right of all other engineers who wish to keep NEA free from politics, because of presence of your political panels and your practice of hiring of national parties in the NEA election arena, make them impossible to get elected. Why do you promote this five partys syndicate? Engineer voters need your white paper why you must, and cannot remain outside politics and cannot focus on engineers professional ethos alone.
