Questions: will the proliferation of chain restaurants in the LaSalle-area of Niagara Falls 1.) be sustainable growth; 2.) will it negatively impact the local restaurants; and 3.) will it change your dining habits? Okay, heres what it is. it looks like Popeyes is close to opening. Popeyes Fried Chicken is a business that came out of New Orleans and will soon be in NFBlvd/Military Road Restaurant Row and along that T-bone shaped Calorie Corridor between Tim Hortons and the former Pages Whistle Pig to the north; McDonalds, Duffs and Davids Subs to the south; Ponderosa and De-Dees Ice Cream to the east; all the way down to Bob Evans, Honeys and everything in between, including one of my favorites -- La Galera Mexican Restaurant. New Orleans may have been nicknamed Fat City, but will Niagara Falls Jello-Wrestle that title from them with the opening of Popeyes Fried Chicken; and how soon will it be before Churches Fried Chicken enters the coop?
