Quezon City, Philippines - 28 Oct 2014: CEO of WEnergy Global, Atem S. Ramsundersingh, speaking at the Business Forum, organised by DOE, GIZ and EU Commission, about challenges in developing renewable energy/hybrid projects such as the lack of a proper decision-making framework with clear criteria and procedures and the relatively weak capacity of staff to handle new technologies without the use of business-as-usual approaches related to fossil fuel power generation. Such weaknesses cause delay in clean electrification of the over 4 million households and many industries in Philippines. It discourages private sector engagements. Such open dialogues and exchanges are important to accelerate the process of positive decision-making.
