Quick Gamer - Social & Casual Game Guides HOME FIND GAMES CONTACT Fantastic Forest Walkthrough Guide Posted by on Jun 10, 2013 in Fantastic Forest | 0 comments 0 0 0 569 Welcome to quickgamer’s Fantastic Forest walkthrough guide for beginners. Something that makes Fantastic Forest different is that is does not have an energy bar which you depend on to keep playing. What happens is that you eventually run out of coins or materials to craft objects, and you need to wait for the crops to grow or the trees to release fruits that you can later sell at the market and keep making progress and completing quests. QUESTING Quests are given by several different characters along the entire game, which basically stay in your village once they appear for the first time. Quests or missions are divided into several parts, each one having a set of 3 tasks to complete. When each quest is completed you receive coins and experience points. You need to claim the reward by clicking on the quest giver, otherwise it is not considered completed. Some quests command you with a tasks that consists of looking for a certain object that cannot be created in a building or requested from friends. This object is found only in a particular area and is one of a kind. You need to excavate a certain spot [e.g. Glass and Planks in the Town Hall area to find] to find the artifact required to complete that quest (which is often needed to finish a building). In order to excavate the artifact, you will also be required a set of items, which can indeed be crafted at a certain building or requested from friends. FARMING Farming crops works pretty much like any other farming game, you have a series of farming plots where you can lay your seeds and wait for them to grow (or use Woobees for instant grow). The variety of crops is not as huge as in Farmville, but when you combine these elements with crafting, it makes sense and it’s a lot of fun. You cannot buy extra farming plots. Instead, you find extra plots when unlocking new Areas. and if you want them all together, you can move them with the Design Mode tool Remember, always keep some seeds for yourself, don’t sell all of them, otherwise you will have to purchase them with coins. Each crop has its own growing time and needs to be manually harvested. ALL CROPS can be unlocked simply by reaching a certain level, which is indicated on each of the crops’ icons. In order to sew these seeds, simply click on the farming plot and choose from the available seeds, then wait for them to finish growing. For each planted seed, you obtain two. there are two other actions that you will find yourself doing a lot, which cannot be fit into any particular category, these are chopping trees and getting stone. Trees and rocks can be found in all areas, and you won’t run out of them. FISHING Another feature of Fantastic Forest is Fishing. You can catch several types of fishes in different types of waters, like Rivers, Lakes or Sea. In order to catch a certain type of fish, you have at your disposal a Lure Box. You start out with only 3 types of Lures, The Basic Lure, the Freshwater Lure and the Super Lure, each one targetting a certain type of fish outthere. We suggest you don’t buy lures unless a game mission requires to do so, at the beginning, coins tend to be scarce. The Lure box is located at the bottom bar, to the right. How to Fish?. In order to fish, you should first click on the Lure Box, and select the Lure that you need for the fish you are looking forward to catch. After that, click on the corresponding water type. For instance, if it’s a Marble Hatchetfish, you need the freshwater Lure to catch it. Once the character starts fishing, wait for the fish to get hooked before doing anything, then click on the buoy. A 3-stage meter will pop up, you need to click when the arrow is on the yellow spot to successfully take the fish out of the water. You can start selling fishes at the Market Stall later in the game, since at the beginning you can only sell crops. You can purchase more lures only through the lure box, by clicking on the buy more option within the Lure Box. CRAFT OBJECTS – BUILDINGS. You do not buy new buildings like in most other farming or city building games. New buildings are found in new areas, and you need to gather all the requirements in order to construct them so they become available to craft new objects. Each building, like Rose’s caravan, has its own set of objects that you can create by combining certain crops, fishes or other misc items. You can create up to 4 items at the same time in a single building, but at the beginning, only 1 crafting slot will be available, if you want to unlock the rest you need to complete certain missions. You will eventually be required to create items for quests, so don’t do it if you don’t need to. THE MARKET STALL In order to sell your items at the Market Stall, click on the stand right next to the Hippo character (Helen) in your starting area. choose any of the 3 deals being offered and you will obtain coins in exchance, as well as some experience points. You can trash the deal being offered if you think it won’t be convenient for long and then wait for another deal to pop in around 10 minutes, Deals rotate quite often by themselves though. Mind you, there are 3 deals going on at the same time in the Market stall. Helen’s deals are one of the best answers to the question: How Do I Make More Coins?. This is mainly done through crops and fruit trees. INVENTORY Despite the inventory being quite small by default, you can expand it using regular coins (or 50 Woobees, which makes no sense at all), and you get +10 slots each time you do so. All objects stored go to the inventory, both quest items and other stuff like fishes or crops. AREAS New areas surround your Village, in order to unlock them you need to meet certain requirements and it’s always better to wait for a quest to ask you to do such thing, otherwise you could spend some precious resources at the wrong time. All new areas contain a new building, excavation sites and sometimes a new quest giver and farming plots. THE SHOP You will eventually notice that the shop contains only objects that are merely there to decorate your Village, like flowers, paths and misc stuff like fountains and benches. If you wonder whether there’s another purpose for those items, we tell you that you need these decors in order to increase your Village Rank, which is needed as a requirement in all new areas to be unlocked. Each time you place an item from the shop in your village, your Village Rank will increase, the more expensive the decor is, the more points you get for it. FRIENDS – NEIGHBORS The neighbors bar is located at the bottom bar. Fantastic Forest friends are important, mainly because you will often need to request items from them. These objects cannot be created anywhere else, so that is why you start looking for new neighbors as soon as you start playing Fantastic Forest. These can be found at the official Facebook app page. You can also visit your neighbors and interact with objects in their village, like fertilizing crops or polishing rocks. Once you carry out around 5 tasks, you will be rewarded with 50 coins and 1 XP point. fantastic forest walkthrough – quests – areas and buildings – craftable objects & items 0 0
