Quick Halloween story about Maxwell. First arrival at the door was a young teen with special needs. Max came out on the porch and the young man got so scared that he was whimpering with fear. I felt horrible and I shooed Max back inside. The young mans father was there and was trying to explain to him that the dog was really friendly and that he didnt need to be afraid. As we were talking, Max came back out with his big floppy teddy bear, and nudged the young man with it. I mentioned to Jeanne, did I just see what I thought I saw? Max blew us away with his sensitivity to others pain. Just amazing and oh so touching.
