Quick QUESTION: I love Star Blazers and Space BattleShip Yamato. - TopicsExpress

Quick QUESTION: I love Star Blazers and Space BattleShip Yamato. And I like all the characters, but especially like Sandor (Sanada in Japan, I believe). The question... I may be wrong, but is there not, in the U. S. A. version of the show (Star Blazers), the implication that SANDOR IS A CYBORG? Or at least the reference to his having artificial limbs? (It has been years since I saw the original, first 2 seasons, but I thought there was one episode that depicted a scene where Wildstar and Sandor go on an away mission, and Sandor gets his leg blown off in an explosion or fire-fight. Wildstar then thinks Sandor is mortally injured, but Sandor explains that he had an accident on Earth as a kid and had his leg replaced with an artificial prosthesis. Later the leg gets replaced/repaired and the show goes back to the visual status quo. I dont think it is ever referred to again. I would almost swear by having seen this scene as a kid in the late 70s first runs of the show. I am also wondering if there is any reference or scene like this in the Japanese Yamato show? I am thinking it was a clean-up edit done to make the scene pass the censorship codes for kids viewing at the time. Maybe it was even a weird regional edit of a certain episode. Just wondering if anyone else has this memory and/or an explanation for why I thought Sandor was a cyborg. Anybody know what I am talking about?)
