Quick rant from an admittedly low ELO player that will hopefully help me in some way: Whenever I ask for advice on how to climb the ladder with feeders, ark, etc, Im always told if you cant carry your entire team, you dont deserve to climb. Does anyone realize how ridiculous this is? I cant force my team to do anything. All a player can realistically do is (from a mid main standpoint) win lane, zone the enemy from farm, roam once lane is won, help obtain Dragon/baron, and split push when possible. But alot of this is also team reliant. My lane responsibilities are mine yes, thats all me. But when I roam, if the other teammate doesnt follow up after I ping my approach and engage when theyre in position, what did I do wrong? If Im level 6, all I can do is suggest to the jungle clearing wolves to come get Dragon, I cant solo it yet (most of the time). If we need to split push but the enemy team catches on that its always me doing it, and my team never keeps the enemy team occupied to give me that window to push and get a tower then rejoin to teamfight, is it my fault? Assuming Ive done my job right and am suggesting to my teammates what we need to do to win, and they dont listen, am I really expected to carry the team to victory? In advance, I fully admit I make mistakes and misplays that lead to missed opportunities, probably more than I realize I do in fact. But Im advice/understanding seeking here. This is a team game, it takes the team to win, working together to make the plays happen. One person cant do it alone, especially players that arent built to carry. So realistically, how do I climb this ladder? I know its all ELO hell, but regardless I want to climb silver hell, gold hell etc. All advice taken, and if youre higher elo Id love to play a game with you and your high elo friends so you can all give me your unrestrained criticism to help me not misplay to detriment my team while I try to carry.
