Quick status update. I went back in to urgent care Friday to check on some persistent oral swelling related to my strep. The doc immediately routed me to the emergency room where I spent a good part of Friday. Although its my third visit to the ER (#1 was a twisted ankle from snowmobile accident, #2 was a machete incident, dont ask) it was my first time really being admitted. Had my first IV, my first CT scan and several other firsts I wont mention here. After lots of blood work, they discharged me with some fancy mouthwash, stiff pain meds, and a recommendation for an oral surgeon. *sigh*. Im still swollen, Im still bleeding where I shouldnt be, and Im still getting high fevers. Though the latter is gradually getting better as long as I stay on top if meds. I think overall Im gradually getting better, but I wont lie, Im getting pretty discouraged. But support from family and work has been great. Heres hoping for more answers on Monday.
