Quick trip to the VA today to pick up some meds for Ben. His had been sent out on March 28th by mail but must be out there in never-never land because they havent arrived here yet and he was out of the script. Then did a little shopping, found a couple of blouses. I hate to shop and only clothes shop when mine begin falling apart. After we got home son, Dan, who had been in the dentists chair for a couple hours this morning came out and did a few misc. chores for us, hung some pictures, changed the light bulb in the oven (Ben nor I are neither one flexible enough to reach clear back where the bulb is) and is repairing some woodwork where a curtain rod was losing its grip. Somehow that wood split. He will come back later and try to get a nail in the woodwork to hold the rod. I know his mouth was hurting and I appreciate his help. Chad and Deb put a greenhouse up last Saturday and the wind blew it to smitherenes today. Next he will try to construct the frame himself instead of getting another ready-made one. Well, that took care of that. Deb will be here tomorrow morning to clean house for me. We will figure out then where we will start our seedlings. I think Chad is going to hang some grow lights in their basement and we can start them there. Going to try to grow flowers this year for our flower boxes and hanging baskets. Deb will also start lots of veggie seeds. Also going to try the yellow, orange and red peppers that come out of Mexico and Canada to see if they will do ok here. They are so good, totally different flavor than green peppers. I figure that will save several hundred dollars if we are successful starting our own flowers and plants. Remember, try to do at least one act of kindness for someone tomorrow, you will put a little light in their life and a smile on their face. A while back we paid for two womens breakfasts in a restaurant, had no idea who they were and it was so much fun to watch them looking all over the restaurant to see who might have picked up their bill. The look of wonder on their faces was well worth buying their breakfast. They will never know who did that but hopefully the day will come when they will pay it forward.
