Quick update... MacBook experience continued... So after being on the phone with Apple for about 45 minutes or so (yesterday), then having to take a chunk of my day to drive from NC to McArthur mall to the Apple store to exchange my MacBook because the screen brightness F key didnt work there was a startling discovery. I exchanged MacBook with Apple dude after much work. Then I told the Apple guy I wanted to test the new MacBook to make sure the screen brightness button worked. He was totally cool with it. We opened the new MacBook. Did the startup procedure, got everything going then went to the desktop. I pressed the F6 key and damn thing didnt adjust the screen brightness. This was the only reason I did the phone call and the exchange. Hours of trouble. He says to me nicely, Thats not the screen brightness key. Thats the brightness for the backlit keyboard. He then proceeded to show me the F1 key was for screen brightness. I WAS MORTIFIED. I started sweating, felt awful and apologized for all the trouble. We both laughed. Epic fail.
