Quick update! My new lens arrived Friday, so obviously I had to call up my test subject family and convince them to let me take a few portraits of them. Long story short, the lens is amazing. 85mm f/1.4...I bought it specifically to shoot portraits, and seeing as how portraits account for the majority of my workload, I have a lot riding on the quality of this lens. Im happy to say that the lens has met my (usually high) expectations. Ive attached some photos from the weekend, as well as a side-by-side of the old and new lens. Let me know what you think--do you think the new lens was worth the investment?
