*Quiet Weather Today & Friday* *Weekend System Even Weaker* *Rain Monday & Christmas Eve* DETAILS – Sunny skies this morning will stay with us all day and that will help to push our temperatures up to near 50 in many area, while that is normal for this time of year it is 10 degrees cooler than yesterday. Some clouds will filter into the region tonight and it will be cold with lows near 30. Partly sunny skies will be with us on Friday with highs around 50. Our first in a series of weather systems will approach the region on Saturday, but this system has been showing up weaker and weaker on our weather models for the past couple of days, so we will be seeing increasing clouds with a chance of some light rain showers throughout the afternoon and evening. High temperatures will be a little cooler due to the clouds and showers, as we will only top out in the middle 40s. That system will slide way to our south Saturday night and Sunday allowing for partly sunny skies to return for Sunday. Our high temperatures on Sunday will top out in the upper 40s. Another weather system will approach central Virginia on Monday and this will bring us another chance of rain with highs in the middle 40s. That system will move late Monday night and Tuesday we will see more clouds than sunshine as we will be in between two systems. That next system will arrive for Christmas Eve Day with more rain and highs in the middle 50s. As that system departs it will turn partly sunny but windy and cooler for Christmas Day with highs in the upper 40s.
