Quite a Week! After diving last weekend, Cindy and I and friends went to the California Science Center to view the Pompeii Exhibit. It was well presented, but mostly artifact views. After the CSC, we ran over to Philippe’s for double-dipped roast beef sandwiches. Really as great as ever and missed the taste for too long. Then a saunter through Olvera Street where we found a new acquisition for our mermaid collection – a Dia de los Muertos mermaid. A representation not too often found. Then, later in the week, friends invited us to the Happiest Place on Earth (well, maybe) where we spent the day hanging with the Mouse, walking for miles and enjoying 30,000 of our closest friend that we didnt know. Now, prepping for another assessment survey, Northern Channel Islands plus Point Conception and several other coastal sites. With the current winds and swell, it might be a very interesting trip, but if you don’t go, you don’t know. Hoping for calm seas, warm water and bluewater visibility, but we will work with whatever we got.
