Quite a bit of activity has been on-going with the changes in the food and beverage concessions in the passenger terminal. Just like remodeling your house, a lot of work must take place before you can actually begin installing the new items. OHM Concessions Group recently completed the demolition work needed to prepare the pre-security and concourse areas for the actual installation of the new restaurants, which in turn allowed all installation plans to be finished, reviewed and approved by local building officials. During the demolition process, all of the existing fixtures and finishes had to be removed and the area taken to a bare condition. Additionally, some modifications were made to the electrical and air conditioning supply systems in both locations, and in the pre-security area, a new fire wall was installed. OHM Concessions Group will hold a pre-construction meeting this week with their local general contractor for the installation portion of the project. Once the contractor mobilizes next week, outfitting work will begin in both areas. We will keep you updated on future developments behind the scenes during the next few months. Stay tuned...
