Quite an interesting thread on the CU boards. Ive bought deals in peoples hotel rooms, at interstate rest stops, and even fast food parking lots. My strangest place buying a deal? A strip club. Let me explain. Years ago while back in Hawaii during a winter vacation, my friend Ross, who I know from my card shop days, called me up and asked if I was interested in a Sidney Crosby rookie from UD Ice, numbered to 99. Of course I was! We agreed on a price, though I had to meet him at work. Well hes a bartender at one of the most popular strip clubs near Waikiki. I did not actually buy the card in the club; they all have notoriously bad lighting. Its difficult to inspect the condition of a card under neon or black light! LOL! We conducted our transaction outside near the dancers locker room, which for some reason didnt have a door, just a curtain. Somehow I managed to concentrate on business and bought the card. We celebrated inside after, where he proceeded to pour me the strongest drink Ive ever had, which sadly I could not finish. Wheres the strangest place youve bought a card? I just threw down the gauntlet - I challenge anyone to top my experience!
