Quite enjoyed Noah -while it embellished the story a bit (the watchers were silly) it still quite powerfully explored some important ideas. It ends quiet optimistically with a fresh start for the world and Noah -but if you keep reading on in Genesis, the very next story is the tower of babel (Gen 11) -even after so cataclysmic judgement as the flood and Gods subsequent mercy and grace in giving humanity a fresh start, humanity unites in their opposition to God and try to storm heaven :-/ The flood is a climax of judgement, but i think babel is a climax of sin. Youre meant to despair a bit, the cycle keeps repeating; God wants to bless humanity but theyre enslaved to selfishness and keep hurting one another and messing up the world, forcing God to justly judge -hows it all going to end?? Well the hope comes in the next chapter (Gen 12) where God makes some promises to fix things through this Abraham guy; promises which bubble away through the whole bible and find their fulfilment in Jesus, who cops a flood of judgement in our place on the cross, justly and graciously buying forgiveness and reconciliation with God for those who trust in him.
