Quite good. Summary: Feminism that focuses primarily on being able to call up the law and get more/bigger/stronger guys to come and deal with a violent man isnt good enough, especially for women who are likely to be treated like crap at the hands of the police. Ends with some alternatives which is always good. My view: Any insistence on deference to the authority of the state is 100% useless to anyone whose very existence in a certain country is illegal. I cannot abide leftist movements against oppression that cant deal with third worldism and ignore the plight of those who dont have the right papers and permits to exist. They can never and will never be able to rely on any kind of help from the state: Are they going to call the police and risk being thrown in a detention centre to rot whilst decisions are made about forcibly expelling them from the country? Is the state going to agree to overlook discovering them in their illegality, even if theyve called for its help as a last resort?
