We need people who will not only preach and teach, but workers whose whole life and temper is a revelation of Jesus Christ. Preachers ought to get their message from God. If they get it from books instead, they do not preach their own gospel; they preach the gospel of others. They sit on other people’s eggs and hatch them and think they are their own. Christ is the Truth. (Jn.14:6) The treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in himself. (Col.2:3) A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. (John 3:27) Anyone who asks receives. When the children of Israel were in the desert, God gave them the supernatural food – the manna, He made them to collect it individually and use it. So much so, when we do our part in reading His Word, ponder over it and prayerfully ask Him, God will reveal to us from the treasure of wisdom and knowledge hidden in Him.
