Quranic Exhibition Held in Daffodil International University An exhibition of calligraphy and painted books about Quran, jointly organized by English Literary Club (ELC) of Daffodil International University and Iranian Cultural Centre, Dhaka is being held at the DIU Auditorium commencing from 19th to 20th July 2014, supported by International Affairs of DIU. The program began at 12 pm with a welcome note and flowers to welcome the guests. Mr. Asghar Khosroabdi, acting Cultural Councilor Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran delivered a short speech about the exhibition and gave thanks to all of the organizers. He said that he was highly impressed by the arrangement and he was hopeful to organize this type of exhibition again in future. After that Mr.Sayed Avad Mazloumi, Ph.D Deputy for Cultural Affairs of Iranian Supreme Hajj Committee introduced the audience with a great multimedia encyclopedia of the Holy Quran that includes More than 100 translation of Quran in 28 language, Arabian and Persian translation of it and recitation of Holy Quran by 15 different reciters, etc. The Quranic exhibition was come to an end with an Iftar Party and closing ceremony on 20th July 2014. Honorable Vice chancellor of Daffodil International University Professor Dr. M. Lutfur Rahman shared his feelings about the relationship between Bangladesh and Iran and to arrange such inspiring program again with Iran Cultural Centre Dhaka. Mr. Hossein Shahbaz, Director CIRDAP shared the similar lifestyle thoughts of Bangladesh-Iran. Also he expressed his satisfaction about living in Bangladesh and the arrangements of the exhibition. There was a prize giving ceremony at the end of the program. An Essay Writing Competition was held earlier about Desirable Human qualities in the light of Islam. The winners were given prizes by the guests. And at last Mr. Asghar Khosroabdi and Professor Dr. M.Lutfur Rahman exchanged their souvenir to one another. The two day long program concluded successfully at sun set on 20th July, 2014. Love for the Beauty and the Creator as well as love for humanity and nature has successfully been depicted in all the calligraphy, documentary and books in that exhibition.
