R.I.P Andre Edward Crouch July 1 1942- January 8, 2015 Thank you for the music. The music and the willingness to be vulnerable through the music. You were FEARLESS. You introduced new sounds, instruments,scales, harmonies and arrangements and you made it okay for the next generation of music makers to incorporate ALL of who they were into their music even if it sounded different than what everyone else was doing. Gospel music was broadened as a result of your God given gift and ALL genres of music benefitted from your genius. The world was made a little kinder through your songs. We found common ground and and thought less about our differences because of your words. To have had you walk among us on Earth and to have experienced the magnitude of your creativity is to know that there is a really BIG GOD and he has an incredible love for human-kind because hes blessed us with the beauty of HIS music through you. If music is indeed an expression of Gods love for us you were an incredible spokesperson for God. Just as churches all over the world sing your songs every week I can just imagine you hearing the heavenly choir and the angels sing some of the lyrics to your own songs in heaven. To God be the glory for the things HE has done! In tribute to you I say How can we say thanks for the things youve done for us? Things so undeserved you shared your gift to show Gods love for us. The voices of a million angels can not express our gratitude. All that you were and ever hoped to be your work is done. Now rest in peace. ~
