R.I.P. Pete Seeger. Ninety Four years old. The father of folk singing. Wrote Turn, Turn, Turn; If I had a Hammer, This Land is Your Land; Where Have All The Flowers Gone...so many more. Born in 1919, he dropped out of Harvard in 1940. At age 89 he played at Obamas inaugural with Bruce Springsteen. He spent an enormous portion of his life trying to save the Hudson River from pollution. He was a sweet man. He lived near the camp we went to as kids, and Paula got to stay at his place and slept in a tree house with his daughter (back in the day). An enormous contribution to music and to our world.
