R.I.P. Pino Daniele. Died few hours ago of a massive heart attack. A legend from Napoli. His album Nero A Metà (1980) was my religion that year, more than wonderful memories of that Summer, possibly the best Summer ever in my life. Voglio di più, matbe my favorite tune on this seminal album of one of my all time favorite Italian artists. Mannaggia te Pino! Ma proprio te ne dovevi andare? Matthew Garrison, ma proprio una brutta notizia. Matt and Mino Cinelu , I was out of the country when you guys performed with Pino at the Apollo here in NYC. Missed him other times here but saw him several times back in 80s in Italy.
