R.I.P. Wanda Hodge Wanda Lois Hodge, of Rolla, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the age of 80. She was born in Vienna, MO on April 29, 1933 to the late Raymond and Edna (Curtis) Daniels. In 1949, she married Levi Hodge who preceded her in death on December 25, 1991. Wanda was raised in Vichy, MO and attended Vienna High School. She was the oldest of five children. She married the love of her life, Levi Herbert Hodge. She was a devoted wife, mother, friend and sister with a strong faith. Working alongside her husband in their business, she was a trustworthy person with great respect in the community. Wanda retired from the Phelps County Regional Medical Center where she worked in the admissions department for 17 years. She faithfully attended the Community Christian Church in Rolla when she was able. Wanda remained close to her extended family her entire life and loved having large family gatherings with wonderful meals. Her love of family was evident in the many hours spent researching, writing, and publishing in volumes for Phelps and Maries County books. Wanda loved and was proud of her children. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Imogene Martin and Viola Austin, sister-in-law, Lola Daniels, and nephew, Douglas Grizzle. She will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes two children, Linda Iler and husband Bill, of Mission, KS, and Larry Hodge, of Phoenix, AZ; her brother, Dutch Daniels, of Rolla; a sister, Judy Grizzle, of Georgetown, KY; one granddaughter, Tess Iler; nieces, nephews, other extended family members and dear friends. A funeral service for Wanda Hodge will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the Null & Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Rolla City Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Community Christian Church in Rolla.
