R.I.P. hip. Peter Dean Rickards (a.k.a. Afflicted Yard) Didnt know this man personally but had recently indulged in some twitter hashtaggery with him. Carrying a camera once prompted someone to assume I was he. I found myself wanting to buk im up, to assess his energy vis-a-vis, aware, that like me, he felt passionately Jamaican AND Canadian. His irreverent lens tended to engage me. His eyes saw in Ninjaman what mine do, and he asked some of the questions I reserve for introspection. Similarly, I relate to his appreciations of rare female beauty. Now I have more questions regarding PDR and that art-terrorist approach. I will have to look back at his work for some answers. Hope I still have those three copies of FIRST magazine safe somewhere.
