R.c. Natarajan aka Nuts, my local host, the Lord of TAPMI, drove the fear of various local species of wildlife into me through his vivid descriptions.:-)) Then, to atone for this act of infinite cruelty, he tried to make up by gifting me a book on the birds of Manipal. An exquisitely produced book, it is a labour of love by an engineering alumni of Manipal. :-)) After Three Idiots, which legitimised the phenomenon, I have developed a fatigue towards engineers who want to be anything but engineers. :-)). However, in this case the diversion seemed justified.:-)) Remembered my teacher, Prof. Jagdeep Chhokar, the most avid bird watcher I know.:-))
