RADICAL LIFE EXTENSION AND GLOBAL POPULATION I want to point out several things: 1) At least until the entire humankind gets their nasty instincts removed or down-modulated, their good instincts intensified, their creativity and other mental capabilities largely enhanced, their physical capabilities augmented and people becoming virtually free from genetic diseases, ONLY those who, verifiably, are already close to this high standard ( at least regarding good instincts and great mental capabilities ) should be allowed to radically extend their lives. The others would also gain identical rights as soon they go through future mental and physical enhancement that would make them reach the same standard as the former group. But once this goal is reached, further successive enhancements for everyone ( who consents being enhanced ) would be carried on. Furthermore, whoever gets radical extension of his lifespan should stop reproducing. In this manner we could avoid super-population. 2) The prohibition to reproduction for enhanced long-lifespan people may be halted ( controllably ) if an effective space colonization takes place and considerable number of people migrate to terraformed planets and moons. 3) We should try to prevent people getting the privilege of radical life extension simply because they are rich rather than having the right set of talents and good character ( instincts ). Doing all that will be very challenging but it is the right thing to do.
