RAGING CONTROVERSY OVER “FLAWED” FREE GOLF CONTEST CHAMPIONS CLUB GM FORCED TO GIVE AWAY NEARLY 50 ROUNDS OF FREE GOLF JOB IN JEOPARDY ??? Don’t know why this hasn’t hit the major national newspapers, but controversy has been raging over the Champions Club’s flawed Free Golf contest for last week’s Quicken Loans tournament at Congressional Country Club. Clearly there was some confusion over contest rules, and the US Justice Department may be handing out subpoenas any day. Meanwhile, we are awarding lots of free golf to all affected parties. For those who correctly picked Tiger to miss the cut AND correctly guessed his final round score of 75, we award 4 FREE ROUNDS to: RAPHAEL DE LA CRUZ DAVE SOSUN DENNIS CISTERNA DEREK DOLLENDORF JESSE CHAVEZ MIKE COWELL ERNIE SKILLERN And for those who correctly picked Tiger to miss the cut but did not offer a final round score because the contest said “Sunday” final round, we are awarding 2 FREE ROUNDS to: JOSEPH BRANNON DANNY BRAINARD CHINHO YI JAN COLLINS MICHAEL FOSTER BOYD ESALA KURATO SATO RICK SHUTTLEWORTH FRANK RAMIREZ JEREMIAH MURRAY Hopefully the investigation will be called off in view of the generous awards by the Champions Club. There are no plans at this time to establish a victim’s compensation fund, though this decision may be affected by Congressional hearings planned later this summer. To get your free rounds, contact Head Pro Scott Wasco at 951-277-5368 or email scott@ccrgolf. Next contest is the British Open at Hoylake in mid-July – keep an eye out for contest details. This one may be run under judicial scrutiny! Flint the GM
