RAILA ODINGA abandoned again as EU warns him and tells UHURU/ RUTO to do this Wednesday July 2, 2014 - The Swiss Government led EU envoys to wade into the murky waters of national debate and the planned Saba Saba rally being organized by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s CORD to compel President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, to dialogue, saying the rallies are a bad idea for Kenya. Speaking during an interview with NTV, Swiss Ambassador to Kenya, Jacques Pitteloud, abandoned Raila Odinga and warned him to call off his Saba Saba rally for the sake of peace and tranquility in Kenya saying the rally could worsen the security situation in the country. The Swiss Ambassador concurred with Uhuru/ Ruto’s Government that the opposition is fanning ethnic animosity in the country and urged the Government to deal with them for the sake of peace. “I think the Interior Cabinet Secretary, Joseph Ole Lenku, is trying to say Kenya is in a very dangerous phase where a combination of the killings in Mpeketoni, the runaway insecurity and calling for Saba Saba could be explosive”, said Pitteloud. Pitteloud assured Uhuru/ Ruto that his country will not issue any travel advisory to Swiss citizens until and unless otherwise.
