RAILROAD CROSSING COLLISION UPDATE: Traffic is still being detoured at intersections in Gaffney following an early morning collision between a train and a truck hauling frozen goods from a local packing plant. Just after 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, a truck carrying items from Nestle Frozen Food Company got hung up on train tracks intersecting at W. Rutledge Ave. in Gaffney, and was hit by a train making its way through town. The train was moved less than an hour ago. Thankfully, no one was injured as a result of the accident, but has created quite the inconvenience for those traveling through town. Detours remain in place on W. Rutledge Ave. from Limestone to Granard streets, where officials continue the process of cleanup following the accident.
