RAINY DAY SUNDAY POST FROM THE GARDEN OF COLORS: filling in for Andy is Kath-a-leen the Garden Queen I caught Andy in the backyard hiding behind the shed smoking and typing a response to our daughter-in-law Madeleines post. So I had to take over the keyboard, it has been a few days and he could not stand it anymore. Madeleine, who is a very talented artist, posted the following quote: I like that feeling when you’re making art, that you’re taking the energy out of your body and putting it into a physical object. I like things that are labor-intensive: you make a little thing and another little thing and another little thing, and eventually you see a possibility. —Kiki Smith So Andy said: I enjoy the same feeling - when I make music, art, or anything creative. I enjoy that transfer of energy. I often wonder where that energy comes from. It does not originate with me it merely flows through me. It flows through me and into the art-work I am creating. Hopefully, the answer to the birthplace of this energy is found in the art-work itself. PROMOTION ANNOUNCEMENT: Chris 2.0 has earned enough dots to be promoted to the position of Executive Officer. Ceremony to be held at a later date. His commanding officer Andy Ward King is grateful for having someone else to clean the latrines. Here is a picture of Chris hard at work and a fish Andy caught. Andy made me put the fish picture up however it does not seem to have anything to do with anything in this post. Andy mumbled something about AndyVerse corporate private recreational obligations (and the fish had dots).
