RAJADHI RAJA – THRILLS FOR SURE …. ( 3.9 out of 5) There were doubts in the mind while sitting in the theatre on the first day to watch the movie Rajadhi Raja. The director is new, the script writers not the kind which I personally prefer, Mammootty who has proven many times that he is not that good in choosing the projects. But all doubts vanished as the film progressed into the interval with some fresh comedy sequences involving Joju George. To Joju, this Onam will be so memorable because he has done a hell of a job in this film. Striking the perfect balance of comedy and action, the film is a never- dull- thriller with all the spices mixed in the correct ratio. For Mammootty fans- they can confidently jump up from their seats and cheer for their hero. A script with ample opportunities to go awry, one must praise the director for keeping his cool and upholding the standard- making sure forever that the film doesn’t deteriorate to being worthless. As Mammootty turns 63 tomorrow, this film has some of the finest, breathtaking ironic get ups of the megastar. It is simply awesome that at this age, he, still, dictates glamour and fashion to the Malayalam film industry. The film scores above 4 in its entertainment factor, but being not more than a thriller, let us give it a final 3.9. One thing is sure- Raja rocks this festive season….. And for Mammootty, “ THE KING IS BACK ” finally.
