RAMADAN ROAD ACCIDENTS IN JAZAN: In this collection are some of the cars involved in fatal road accidents in the southern province of Jazan during the past days. According to the Colonel Ahmed bin Mohammed Osada, assistant transportation director in Jazan, a total of 1,463 traffic accidents were recorded in the province from the start of Ramadan to July 23, 2014, of which 21 people died and 123 were injured. Traffic violations during that period reached 14,323, with speeding, driving against the flow of traffic, and wrong overtaking as the most common violations. The officer hoped the pictures would serve as a warning to motorists to start abiding with traffic rules and spare themselves and others of senseless death, injury or loss of property. (SPA)
