RANDY ETHERIDGE TAKES HOME HIS FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON WHILE WARREN GOETSCH CLAIMS HIS SECOND MWSC TITLE AT BYRON It was a trying weekend at Byron Dragway between the rain and oil downs, but the Midwest Super Comp Series was able to finish the Sunday race along with the Last Chance Shootout. 30 cars rolled into the track both days with over $1500 going to the winner. For the Last Chance Shootout, it was Larry Reimer getting the best of Jim Glosson in a double breakout. With only one time run due to a long cleanup, it was Mike Nolan going #1 with his 8.901. When it came down to the final, it was Wally Pote against Tampicos hero Randy Etheridge. They were nearly identical leaving the starting line as Randy had the slight advantage, .015 to Wallys .018, and it was Randy going all the way winning with an 8.91 to Wallys 8.94. Congrats to Randy, Beth, and the entire team. Congrats (unofficially) are also in order for Warren Goetsch as he claimed his second title of his young career. He and the team really turned it on at the end of the season as they did in 2013 to win the title. Congratulations to Warren, Angie, Jennifer, Corey, and the rest of their team on their amazing season! We will see everyone at the banquet to give out more awards and money in Rochelle, November 15th. As a reminder, it is a luau Hawaiian theme!
