RANT ALERT: I have had the privilege of sending group pms for pledge collection on many dogs who made it out alive from various shelters nationwide thanks to various rescues. This is always with the approval of or at the request of the rescue. That said, there has been a huge misunderstanding lately simply because I cannot read minds. If I am alerted that someone is having a difficult situation, or a temporary financial glitch...I am patient, and will notify the rescue that its coming, but will be delayed. NO PROBLEM!! When I see I know I have outstanding pledges...my situation continues...please send me a fresh PM with link & freedom pics...I DO THAT. Its a pain in the neck, because the original PM is in the pledgers box as well as mine. I pull it up, grab all the info, and send a new PM as requested. When I see someone wants a fresh pm AGAIN...ok, I know the situation, I will do it again. And a 4th reminder. You get the picture. Its as if I have no life, no stresses, no challenges to my own time (I just dont put them out there publicly.). When all of the PMs are SEEN, and theres no response...my only conclusion is that this pledge is not going to be paid. All it takes is already paid. I have no access to the rescues bank account...and have no clue. To be told I pay my pledges DIRECTLY TO THE RESCUE is meaningless, because we ALL honor those pledges directly to the rescue (via paypal or website donation link). If you cant muster the common courtesy to just RESPOND, SOMEHOW....then dont get mad at me when the conclusion I draw after multiple times is that you flat dont honor your pledges for one reason or another. That youve donated $11,000 to rescues this year is IMMATERIAL to the point. I have dozens upon dozens of spreadsheets with names, amounts, and a BLANK SPACE where I usually type Paid and the Transaction # if applicable. I am NOT a mind reader, and if you do not have the common courtesy to let me know, please know that the sum youve paid this year is a number I could care LESS about. (I know people who donate way more than THAT!). Just respond...or message me privately. Already paid are magic words...I will take your word for it. I then send a jpg of the spreadsheet to the rescue showing who has indicated they have paid. If you think donating $$$thousands$$$ is an excuse to read and then NOT respond to multiple subsequent pms that take MY TIME to put together for a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th time...and that YOU HAVE ASKED FOR.......you are mistaken. If, months later, you see me state that I no longer even TALLY your pledge for the rescue...its because I have NO WAY OF KNOWING YOU HAVE PAID!!!! Its really simple. If you are offended, then maybe have a cup of tea and ask yourself if you have failed to respond to me AT ALL.
