RANT ALERT: This article crystalizes some extremely salient and poignant arguments about the non-profit industrial complex. White liberal engagement on issues that affect people of color, particularly Black people, are usually done in the name of white narcissm and self-aggrandizement of the white ego. White people are infatuated the the spectacularization of Black suffering. Theyll put us on their brochures, cite us in their out-of-context statistics and propose useless solutions to problems they have no experience with. This is done to satisfy themselves and their conscience. I doubt that any the well meaning intentions of white people is done in the name of just wanting to help. In fact, white people in non-profits justify white intervention in the Black family, Black economics and Black political infrastructure. On a global scale, this impedes Black independence and justifies colonialism and imperialism. The is why Black people must educate and provide for OUR people instead of relying on the charity and benevolence of white people. #MyTwoCents
