RANT OF THE WEEK Know what I hate? Utter, blind idolising of celebrity. Usually perpetuated by people with no objectivity whatsoever. It is a total hypocrisy and utterly idiotic. While we all have people we admire, for whatever reason, it is moronic to turn a blind eye to facets of that persons character that are unappealing, illegal, immoral or self-destructive. These are elements of the person that makes them who they are. Examples of this kind of fervour and blindness really aggravate me. I am drawn to somewhat chaotic and self destructive characters myself. Among them Pete Doherty, Sid Vicious, River Phoenix and John Bushi. However, I have known none of them personally but what I know of them, I do not condone their lifestyle choices nor would I choose them for myself. BUT that doesnt change the fact I am attracted to them and enjoy their talent. I am not God and it is not my.place to judge anyone. I like what I like and make no apologies for that. I am responsible for my behaviour not anyone elses.
