RANT TIME: Hard to believe but there are a few folks who have actually encouraged me to continue with Rants. FYI, its not my Mom as she went to heaven 25 yrs ago. Nor is it my wife, who doesnt do FB. Nor is it any of my family members who vacillate from embarrassment and boredom with my rants. I have disdain for both of the dominant political parties who control our government. I have an equal amount of disdain for the tens of thousands of government bureaucrats who contribute little to our nations economy, security, production, protection, education or general well being. It has been said that politicians do not care about fixing our problems...but only their own problems. Which means getting elected and getting re-elected. I believe that.My ole Daddy always said, son theres only two kinds of politicians. Those in office and those wanting in office. My Pappy was wise. Government, aka politicians/bureaucrats will do anything, say anything to prevent reducing the size of any agency, department or program no matter how ineffective, redundant, outdated, obsolete or corrupt. The opposing parties take turns at demagogy and scaring the masses in order for the polls to scare the opposition to withdraw any meaningful change. Government Integrity is an oxymoron. What does government (politicians/bureaucrats) do when it is failing? Why it lies, of course, just like a criminal enterprise. It lies about anything it believes it needs to and can get away with. When you have the media running interference for you and an opposition party too cowardly to blow the whistle, that means you can lie just about anything and get away with it. And so, here we are today. The lunatics are running the asylum. As I have said before, if you arent alarmed or disturbed, you arent paying attention.
