RANT TIME! Ive stayed away from getting all op-ed on here for a while but recent events with the NFL have me steaming. Three things I draw the line on are child abuse, domestic abuse and homophobia. These are in no particular order. To be honest, the NFL is doing a REALLY shitty job with all three right now. This bums me out, because I love football and I love my San Francisco 49ers. The worst part of all this is that these current events with the NFL and its players are bringing out the idiots of society, who seem to jump at the change to defend Ray Rice or be apologists for Adrian Peterson. Dont even get me started on the people that posted an image of all of the violent NFL players of the last couple of years who somehow put a picture of Michael Sam in with them because he is gay. I guess being a great teammate like Michael Sam is now on the same level as murder or domestic violence? Pinheads. Lets be clear on a few things right here and now: 1. Striking a woman is horrible and under no circumstance explainable. If you are a man that has hit a woman, you arent much of a man . 2. Injuring child will send you straight to a hot place in my book. I dont want to hear people come out of the woodwork about spanking. This wasnt spanking. THIS FOUR YEAR OLD LITTLE MAN ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL! 3. Finally, get over the fact that a man (or woman) is gay. Homophobia is old news. There are a lot of gay athletes. Most of them havent come out in public yet. God willing, they will (whenever the time is right for them). Get over it. Grow up. Unlike the NFL I wont hesitate in banning your ass for doing any of the three. Defending them wont score you many points with me either. That is all for tonight.
