*** RANT. *** The whole social media thing with suicide and self harm in general is disgusting. Self-harm is done by the person being hurt, yes, but theyre doing it because they cannot find help and clearly no ones tried to help -- theyd rather go and make it worse or shut it out. That doesnt mean that its a bullys fault, exactly, but theyre not innocent by any means. And publicizing the whole self harm bullshit is only glorifying it. Itll give people ideas. Instead of spreading omg she killed herself it was her only way out you should feel bad you should be saying sure it feels like theres no way out, but you can get help. Before ANYONE says I dont know what Im talking about, shut it. I used to self harm and it actually infuriates me that its online so much. It only gives the kids ideas when theyre desperate and spreads negativity. Spread the positive side of it, like TWLOHA. Spread help and hope and an answer, not pity. Christ.
