RANT (sorry): Spoke with a Housing representative about my RA interview. Was told I did not show community building experience through questions such as How have you encountered and dealt with conflict resolution? My extensive discussion about being an IM official and IM supervisor was apparently unsatisfactory. Things that would help would be joining a club or organization, which I have attempted 4 times in the past 2 years but could not keep up with because my work conflicted with meeting times. My job as an official and supervisor has thus cost me my IM position because they see this job as the same as those involved in clubs and organizations which only meet maybe one a week instead of 4 and where the goal is to have fun instead of work and provide a service to the community. Took me a lot of effort to not yell at the person on the other end of the phone. Im so disgusted with housing right now. Theres a reason our housing sucks and people would rather live off campus.
