RANTINGS OF A WILD REDHEAD! Just updating everyone on the heartless souls of slum lords... The city did do an inspection along with the health department and wrote up a six page back to back report that was mailed to the owner to repair the living conditions in 30 days. Gary and I toured the house for possible purchase this past weekend, but the damage and repair to this massive home is astronomical. There is nothing recognizable to original floor plan, no cool anything to salvage and restore. Just a dirty five unit, filled with bedbugs and mats for beds. I was just sick after touring this home and felt terrible for the two children and the other tenants who technically should not be dwelling in this sort of filth. Making the slum lords lives miserable by following code restrictions and historical guide lines has sort of become my goal in this neighborhood. I sit on my porch and shake my head when I see a family who obviously struggles have to walk into a slum lords definition of home. I dont know how Larry Hines the owner of this property sleeps at night, but I am sure he sleeps just fine as long as he gets his measly $1000 a month income from us technically. Okay, I have ranted and raved....Thank you for listening and for getting the word out.
