RAPE OF A MINOR OCCURS IN TAPINI WHILE STATION COMMANDER IS NO.WHERE TO BE SEEN. A 14 year old grade five female from Koruvu village student attending St Peter ToRot Primary School in Tapini was gang raped at DPI compound in Tapini station in Goilala at around 4pm this afternoon. The victim was rushed to the Tapini health Centre for medical examination. And it has been proved after medical examinations that she as raped. It is a very sad and unfortunate incident that has caught everyone off guard. If arrests has been made or suspect apprehended, its unknown at this stage. Station Commander Mr Didei is also in Port Moresby. He has been in Port Moresby for sometime. At the same time the local MP Mona has been offline since he was discharged fro. ward 8 in Pom General Hospital. Law and order has been a major concern for the public servants, students and the public inTapini station for a while now. Thugs and drug addicts roam Tapini station as if there is no authority in place to.dictate their behavior. Apart from this rape incident, many other serious law and order cases that happened in the past have been brushed aside.as a non issue. Law and order enforcement in Tapini and Goilala District generally is literally nonexistent.
