RASPUTITSA Spring Classic(Russian for Sea of Mud) Register for $50 until February 1, 2015 The Rasputitsa Spring Classic: When: April 11th, 2015. Who: Field limit of 500 riders, riders of all abilities and disciplines from racers to riders and includes road, cyclocross, singlespeed, tandem, and mountain bikes. What: 45 mile unsanctioned gravel road race and covers some of the most cold and barren landscapes of Vermont. Where: Starts and ends in East Burke, Vermont. The route will use roads and trails in the towns of Newark, Granby, Victory and Kirby. The epic section known as Cyberia covers singletrack where riders may need to shoulder bikes at times. There is no prize purse but bragging rights are bestowed. The $50 registration fee includes: neutral support and broomwagon assistance, fully supported feedzone with passed waterbottles, hardy meal and live music at the Apres-Velo party located at the finish, timing chip, trophy and jersey for winners. All proceeds benefit the Halo Foundation.
