RATHACON will be great this year! Im doing something different. Not displaying my models(they are just too delicate to transport and I simply cannot make people understand that they are not to be touched!) I am endeavoring to do a make and take thing with Millenium Falcon kits that are pre-painted and snap together. I will let the kids add a wash and drybrush them so they look more realistic and grubby. The scale is too small to add battle damage. Now to further wet their appetite, I will be working on the old MPC Millenium Falcon kit that is about 1/68 scale and 18 inches long. The cockpit is way inaccurate and it needs some other tweaking. Ive read some online builds and discovered that the interior cannot be built to look like the movie sets. A big thing is the gun ports. In the film it looked as if there was a window or viewing port between the quad guns and operator. The layout of the ship dictates that the operator is at a 90 degree angle to the the port and parallel with the quad gun. SAVE THE DATE!
