RCCG 62ND ANNUAL CONVENTION THEME: THE HOLY SPIRIT MINISTER: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE BIBLE TEXT: ACTS 2:1-8 The first thing you need to know is that Holy Spirit is God. Some get confused when we say there is only one God but at the same time we say there is God the Father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit. The truth is that there is only one God but He manifests Himself in 3 different ways. How is this possible you? Consider this scenario; Pastor Adeboye is a Son to his mother, a husband to his wife and of course, a father to his children but he is still one person despite the 3 personalities. The way he acts with his mum will be different from how he behaves with his wife and also different from how he acts with his children. There is one God and He manifests in 3 ways. The way God operates as God the father is different from how He operates as God the son and its also different from the way He operates as God the Holy Spirit. It is hard to describe God the Holy Spirit but He can be described as a mighty rushing wind, fire, oil or a mighty river. THE HOLY SPIRIT AS WIND; In Exodus 14:21-28, When Moses lifted his hand towards the red sea; the bible says there was a mighty rushing wind from the east that parted the red sea. When the Holy Spirit moves as a mighty rushing wind, He makes a way there is no way. Tonight God will make a way for you where there is no way in Jesus name. The children of Israel had been set free but the Egyptians where after them to bring them back to captivity. As soon as the children of Israel had crossed over the red sea, Moses stretched the rod towards the sea and the wind caused the parted red sea to close causing the enemies to be drowned. Whenever the Holy Spirit blows like a wind, all generational enemies vanish at a single moment. As the Holy Spirit moves tonight, the enemies you have seen up to this moment you will see them no more. In Ezekiel 37:1-10, when the wind of the spirit blew, dry bones came back to life. Tonight as the wind blow, all the opportunities, breakthroughs, opportunities you have lost shall be restored tonight in Jesus name. THE HOLY GHOST AS FIRE; In Judges 15:14-15, the relatives of Samson brought him bound and handed him over to the enemy. As far as the relatives/enemies were concerned, an end had come to Samson but then the Holy Spirit came down as fire and the ropes binding Samson were burnt down. The Samson got up and slew his enemies with the jawbones of an ass. When he comes as fire, he has a way of binding those who want to truncate your destiny so you can fulfil your destiny. In the name that is above every other name anyone trying to truncate your destiny wont see next month in Jesus name. In 1kings 18:38, When Elijah prepared the altar and called upon God, He answered by fire and consumed the burnt sacrifice, the wood, the stones and also licked up the water that was on the altar. When the Holy Spirit is moving as fire He does so many things. It has a way of drying up your tears. This is the last time youll ever weep for sorrow in Jesus. Whenever the Holy Spirit operates as fire it is a sign that your prayer has been answered. In Acts 2 you see that when the Holy Spirit operates as fire, it has a way of turning the potential of man into reality. Jesus had told Peter years ago that he would be a fisher of man but nothing happened until the Holy Spirit filled him. As soon as the Holy Spirit came upon him, Peter won many souls the same day. As the Holy Spirit moves tonight, youll become that which God created you to be in Jesus name. Amen THE HOLY SPIRIT AS OIL; In Acts 10:38, the bible talks about how the Holy Spirit acts as oil for anointing. The moment God anointed Jesus with Holy Ghost and power, the bible says He went about doing good and healing those that were oppressed. When the Holy Spirit operates as oil, He turns an ordinary man into someone who can perform miracles. Please dont write yourself off, stop believing you cannot do anything for God. When the Holy Spirit comes upon you and anoints you, youll do exploits for God. 1 SAMUEL 16:11-13; Samuel went to the house of Jesse to anoint a king. When the man of God got there, Jesse brought all his sons out but forgot about David. However God rejected all the others and Jesse remembered and went to get David. As soon as Jesse poured oil on Davids head, the one who had been forgotten became a king. As the Holy Spirit moves today all those who have pushed you to the background will come and bow down before you in Jesus name. The Holy Spirit is a very great friend when He is blowing in your favour. When the Holy Spirit is on your side, things happen to you in a miraculous way but if He is blowing against you, it can be bad, ask Jonah. If you have not given your life to Christ or if you have backslided, the Holy Spirit can blow against you. Therefore if you dont want the Holy Spirit to blow against you, I appeal to you tonight, please come and give your life to Jesus now. PRAYER POINTS 1. Thank God and praise Him that you are here tonight and alive. 2. Father, every door that has been shut against me force them to open tonight. 3. Father, if there be any curse still left in my family, cancel it tonight. 4. Father, before the end of this month, make my testimonies complete. 5. Father, every good thing that I have lost please restore them to me tonight. 6. Father, any force trying to truncate my destiny wipe it out tonight. 7. Father, that which you have planned for me to become let me begin to become it as from tonight. SPECIAL PRAYERS POINTS 1. Father, let the wind of your Holy Spirit blow me to a higher ground. 2. Father, let the fire of the Holy Spirit fall and release me into my destiny. 3. Father, let the oil of your Holy Spirit fall afresh on me and accelerate my destiny. Compiled by: Engr.
